This Privacy Policy explains how getwhatsgrouplink.com handles information in our WhatsApp group directory apps — Whatsgroup link (com.social.whatsgroup), Whatsgroup join (com.whatsgroup.link.join), and Whatsgroup find (com.whatsgroup.link) — and on this website (together, the “Service”).
In short: the Service has no accounts and no login. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, location, or contacts. We use an anonymous device identifier, basic in-app activity, push and crash data, and an advertising identifier to run the directory, show ads, and improve the apps.
Information we collect
Information you provide. When you submit a group, the details you enter — group name, WhatsApp invite link, type, category, and optional description, member count and country — plus an optional image you pick from your gallery. Submitted groups are published in the directory and on the website. We never access your camera. We also generate a recovery code so you can re-link your submissions on a new device.
Collected automatically.An anonymous device identifier (a random ID created on first launch — not your Android ID, not tied to your identity); app activity such as groups viewed, joined, bookmarked and shown; diagnostics & crash data via Google Firebase; an advertising identifier via Google AdMob; and a push token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) if you allow notifications.
Stored only on your device. Your bookmarks and recovery codes are stored locally. Bookmarks never leave your device; a recovery code is only sent when you submit or claim a group.
How we use information
To provide and operate the directory; to let you submit, save and re-claim groups; to send notifications you opt into; to measure and improve performance; to show ads; and to detect abuse and keep the Service safe.
Advertising and third parties
Google AdMob serves ads and may use your advertising identifier (see Google’s Privacy Policy). In the EEA/UK we show a Google consent (UMP) prompt before personalized ads. Google Firebase provides push messaging and crash/diagnostics. Our backend stores submitted groups and aggregate analytics. We share the advertising identifier with Google for advertising. We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
On-device data (bookmarks, recovery codes) remains until you remove it or uninstall. The device identifier, submissions and aggregate analytics are retained while needed to run the Service; submitted group content remains until removed by you or by us.
Security
All communication between the apps and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No account passwords are collected because there is no login.
Your choices and rights
Reset or limit ads in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Turn notifications off in your system settings any time. To delete your data, email support@getwhatsgrouplink.com and we will delete your submissions and associated data; uninstalling the app clears all on-device data.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. Because the directory may list third-party groups that contain mature (18+) content, the apps are intended for users aged 18 and over.
International transfers
Your information may be processed on servers in countries other than your own. By using the Service you consent to such transfers.
Changes
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change and material changes will be reflected here.
